Knowing how to read and write is not enough anymore. The paradigm shift in learning and education has alraedy started. Literacy in the digital age is a set of skills, knowledge and practices that allow people to access, critically evaluate and use, and create variable media and content. Media, Information and News Literacy is a new approach to education and participation in knowledge by focusing on multimodal learning; developing creative and critical skills rather than accumulating information; aiming to increase understanding of the role, operation and impact of media on the construction of social reality; strengthening democratic civic engagement and self-expression in a digital world.
