MEDIA LITERACY TRAINING

Media Literacy Matters focuses on the pedagogical value of MIL in formal and informal education, lifelong learning and professional training. MLM develops and delivers educational and training programs aiming to nurture the necessary Media and Information Literacy skills for critical thinkers, effective communicators and active citizens.

Our Media Literacy Education Programs expand the concept of literacy (i.e., reading and writing) to include multi-literacies (digital, visual, technological, financial, etc.) in all forms of media, which are agents of culture and socialization. MLM designs, implements and delivers tailor-made programs and material for children and adults, individuals or professionals (i.e. educators, journalists, businesspeople, etc) to help them develop critical thinking, engage in active inquiry and participation, and acquire cognitive, functional and metacognitive skills, as well as competencies for personal expression, collaboration and efficient communication on digital media.
